…made as Easy as 1,2,3
To ensure your vehicle is roadworthy, it is a legal requirement that all vehicles 3 years and over have an annual MOT test carried out by a Drivers and Vehicles Standards Agency (DVSA) (formally known as VOSA) approved testing station. From passing the test, the MOT will last 12 months from the test date and has to be renewed before this period expires.
You can arrange an appointment with us to have a test completed up to one month before the expiry of your certificate. We also offer a FREE RE-TEST with 7 days if your car fails its MOT.
All of our MOT testing centres are DVSA approved and all tests are completed by DVSA nominated MOT testers. The process is governed by strict rules set down by the Ministry Of Transport. This means that our checks are exactly the same as those carried out at other approved MOT centres. Our comprehensive checks cover the brakes, steering, suspension, windscreen and mirrors, electrics (lights, indicators, wipers etc), tyres, exhaust (including emissions) and seat belts.
Class 7 MOTs are required for light commercial goods vehicles which weigh between 3,000 kg and 3,500 kg. HiQ Easy Tyre and Autocentres offer this service at our Kettering branch, where we have the specialist equipment and DVSA approved staff to carry out this service. Find out more about Class 7 MOTs here.
REMEMBER: you could be fined for not having an up to date MOT certificate and in the unfortunate event of an accident, you may be asked to produce the document. Insurance claims can be affected by the absence of the certificate, especially in the case of injury.
