ERDINGTON FAST FIT CENTRE FACELIFT
Motorists passing the HiQ centre on Bromford lane, Erdington will have noticed a few changes to the appearance of the leading fast fit centre lately.
Now almost complete, the £175,000 facelift will create a 'flagship facility for motorists' in Birmingham.
The new look exterior will feature landscaping and flagship signage while interior changes will include an improved waiting area with plasma screen TV and tea and coffee facilities.
Brand new tyre fitting and diagnostic equipment, and major improvements to the workshop area complete the facelift.
The overhaul is the result of extensive research by the HiQ network to find out how it could improve its service to customers. The new concept has been developed on the back of an eighteen month study looking at consumer attitudes to fast fit services.
Erdington is the start of a huge roll out programme with significant financial investment behind it. Other centres are highlighted for similar improvement such as Kettering (which is already underway), Newcastle-under-Lyme, Coventry, Stafford, Telford and Oldbury respectively.
Chris Kisby, Managing Director of HiQ Easy Tyre & Autocentres Ltd and owner of the HiQ Erdington franchise, says he is positioning the centre as an industry-leading concept store for the whole of the Midlands.
'Our research highlighted what the industry has suspected for a long time. On the whole customers find visiting a fast fit outlet to be a negative experience. Once complete, the improvements will create a much more positive customer focussed state-of-the-art experience,' said Chris.
The HiQ Easy Tyre & Autocentre name will become a lot more visible around Birmingham and for the first time a mobile fitting service allows customers to get their cars repaired at home or their workplace.
Work is expected to be completed by July 2009. For more information about HiQ Easy Tyre & Autocentres at Erdington and its range of motoring services please contact branch manager, Ben Aldridge, on 0121 328 0278
Winter tyres may seem like an extra and perhaps unnecessary expense to UK residents as we do not usually suffer the extreme temperatures and weather conditions as other countries, such as Germany, where it is a legal requirement to switch to winter tyres when seasons change.
